Last summer, I wrote a blog post entitled, “The Makeup And Body Products I Can’t Live Without Right Now” and the feedback I received was incredible. So I decided to share my current favorite beauty products. I came across some of these items by watching my favorite beauty bloggers on YouTube and consulting with Beauty Experts at Ulta. I have listed the products according to the order that they appear in the photo above, (left to right). I have also added the links to where these items can be purchased.
NYX Cosmetics Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette
Ever since my best friend gave me the NYX Cosmetics Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette for Christmas one year, I instantly became obsessed with it and have not been able to stop using it. I use the Deep Palette and it has the perfect colors for my skin complexion. It glides on the face like butter and in my opinion, it is the perfect cream contour kit to use before you actually set your contour. NYX Cosmetics Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette is available at NYX Cosmetics, Target, Ulta and your local beauty supply store. Below is a clip of me using the NYX Cosmetics Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette.
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Body Oil
Let’s just say it was love at first sight when I found Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Body Oil in the beauty supply store. (If you are a Naturalista you know that the beauty supply store is basically your second home.) What initially drew me to the Palmer’s Coconut Body Oil was the fact that it could be used on your body and it was in a spray bottle. Most coconut oil’s that I have used usually come in a jar so the fact that it was in a bottle and I could avoid getting it all over my hands was a major plus.
Although it states that it is a body oil, I still use it in my hair. Whenever I spray the oil in my hair it instantly moisturizes my scalp and relieves itchiness. It also gives my hair a natural shine. If you are going to use it in your hair, just be sure to only apply a little as it can make your hair very oily.
While it does wonders for my hair, it is absolutely amazing on the body. If you are going to apply the oil on your skin prior to going out make sure you are wearing something that won’t allow it to seep through and get on your clothes. Sometimes to avoid that from happening I mix a little bit in with my lotion. Along with using it as a lotion, I also shave my legs with it. I will forever thank my best friend for introducing me to this beauty hack. After you shave your legs with this oil, it gives your skin a natural shine and makes it feel so soft. Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Body Oil can be purchased at Walmart, Target and your local beauty supply store.
Too Faced Born This Way Translucent Powder
I have always watched makeup artists and beauty bloggers apply translucent powder during their makeup tutorials, but I never felt the need to purchase one. However as of lately, I have been wanting to take my makeup looks to the next level, which is why I finally gave in and purchased one. After consulting with a beauty expert at Ulta, she recommended that I try the Too Faced Born This Way Translucent Powder.
It is so light and glides smoothly onto the skin when applied. I also love the fact that it doesn’t have a scent and made my face appear airbrushed and flawless. This is my first Too Faced product and I am really impressed. The Medium shade is perfect for my skin complexion. Below are two flash photos of me wearing the Too Faced Born This Way Translucent Powder. (These photos were taken by @lifeasro_.)
Black Radiance Color Perfect Liquid Makeup – Caramel
Where do I even start? I use to think I would never find the perfect foundation that not only compliments my skin tone but, gives my skin a natural look. Well, I found it! The formula that is used in the Black Radiance Color Perfect Liquid Makeup is ideal for me. Now before I get into the details of this foundation, I know I stated that I love Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in my previous post, but when the seasons change you have to use different products in the winter than in the summer. So I would definitely say that the Black Radiance Color Perfect Liquid Makeup is perfect for my complexion in the winter.
Eventually, I am going to end up buying this product in bulk. I love it just as much as I love Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. For one, I couldn’t believe how affordable this product was. I purchased it at Walmart for just $3.87. Yes, this foundation is under $5! (Let that sink in!) Second, it is oil-free, which works great for me since I do have oily skin. It is also long-lasting and once it is applied it gives the skin a natural finish, which makes it seem like you aren’t wearing makeup.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit – Tan to Deep
Along with the NYX Cosmetics Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette I have also been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit for years. I officially started contouring my face in 2015. I didn’t really know much about it or how to do it, but I figured why not teach myself because in reality that is the only way you get better when it comes to makeup.
It was probably a stretch purchasing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit since I was a beginner at the time. But now I can definitely say it was one of the greatest investments I have ever made. The Anastasia Beverly Contour Kit contains three highlighter shades and three contour shades in cool and warm tones, which allows you to sculpt, color correct and brighten. The powders also provide buildable coverage, which can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and really brighten under your eyes.
