The Makeup And Body Products I Can’t Live Without Right Now

I’m a simple person so when I like something I stick to it. Now that summer is underway I have decided to share all of my favorite makeup and body products that I absolutely love and have realized if it ever came down to it, I could never live without them. Let’s get into it!

Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie Shea Souffle

I have been using Carol’s Daughter products for years, but the one product I am absolutely hooked to is the Almond Cookie Souffle or the Frappe Body Lotion. Both products are the same except the Souffle is in a jar (as seen in the picture above) and the Frappe Body Lotion is offered in a bottle. I was first introduced to the product by one of my cousins years ago and instantly became addicted. For those that love the lotion just as much as I do it is now offered at Walgreens, CVS and Duane Reade but that’s if you’re lucky to catch the few that they usually have on the shelf.

What makes me so obsessed with the product is the smell and how smooth it goes onto the body once it is applied. Anyone that is familiar with the product knows that Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie has a scent unlike no other, meaning that you can easily point it out on someone. Another thing that I recently realized that made me love the product even more is that it gives my skin a bit of a glow.  (See I could go on and on)

Fenty Beauty Body Lava Body Luminizer [Brown Sugar]

I love to look bronze and golden in the summertime especially if I get a tan. So if there’s body shimmer that adds a nice touch and helps to amplify my skin tone it’s the Fenty Beauty Body Lava. I fell in love with this product as soon as I rubbed it on my skin. For one, it doesn’t stain your hands in case you don’t have a brush to apply it with. Now I wouldn’t of course touch a white t-shirt after I have applied it, but if I was sporting a black shirt I probably would.

Another benefit is the size of the bottle. I purchased my body lava back in April and it still looks like I haven’t even used it yet so it’s safe to say I will have it for the rest of the year, if not longer.

Anastasia Beverly Hills (Sun Dipped) Glow Palette

When I first started wearing makeup my go to highlighter was always Mac Cosmetics Gold Deposit and I always stuck with it because I was so happy with the glow, which made me never step outside my comfort zone and try something different. But when I attended Beauty Con in New York City in April I figured it would be the perfect time to experiment with a new highlighter.

Luckily, I reconnected with a MAC Cosmetics employee that was working at the Anastasia Beverly Hills booth and she told me to definitely purchase the Sun Dipped Glow Palette. I immediately trusted her opinion because she actually put me onto Gold Deposit when she was working at MAC. Well, let me tell you. I really don’t think I could use a different highlighter now. I’m absolutely obsessed with my Sun Dipped Glow Palette. I have gotten so many compliments on my highlighter and have even made a few connections because of it. The palette has the perfect colors and it gives me the most perfect glow once applied. My favorite color is Bronzed since I have a tan right now. I also love that if I want an intense dewy look I can keep on applying the product and if I want a more subtle look I can do about two strokes on my cheekbones and still have the perfect glow. (So if you are looking for a new highlighter I definitely recommend purchasing this one.)

Beauty Blender – (Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Face Sponge

Being a makeup lover I have had my fair share of beauty blenders. Whether they were from the beauty supply store, Sephora and Ulta I’ve used them all but none of them could ever compare to my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Face Sponge. I first purchased this beauty blender from Walgreens and recently bought a new one that was on sale at Ulta.

The reason why I love this beauty blender is because it does exactly what it says it’s suppose to do. The large part of the sponge meaning the round oval part perfectly blends my under eye makeup when I brighten before contouring. The sides of the beauty blender also smooth and enhance my contour and helps to even out my complexion.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation

Ever since Rihanna released her Fenty Beauty products I have been dying to get my hands on the foundation. One reason was to obviously see what the hype was about and if the foundation in particular, lived up to it. It’s Rihanna so I should’ve known to expect anything less than greatness. I’m hooked! I have been using my Pro Filt’r Foundation in the color 420 and haven’t stopped using it since. I have very oily skin and I find that after applying the foundation my face manages to stay matte way longer compared to the other foundations that I have used in the past.

The Pro Filt’r Foundation instantly smoothes the skin, which is another reason why I love this product. Normally if I want to go for a natural look and wear light makeup, I will just apply foundation and a touch of powder, but with the Pro Filt’r I don’t need any powder I can wear the foundation by itself.

Prada Candy (Oil)

Saved the best for last! This one is really an exclusive, but I get asked about it all the time that I just had to share. Shoutout to my cousin again for putting me on. Ever since I smelled the scent of this oil I don’t use any other perfume. So the only scents you will ever smell on me is the Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie Shea Souffle and the Prada Candy Oil.

I hate to burst bubbles but those that live in the tri-state area are unfortunately the only ones that could get their hands on this, because the shop that sells the oil is in a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York called Flatbush. The reason why I love the Prada Candy oil is because it really has it’s own scent. It honestly doesn’t smell anything like the actual Prada Candy perfume, which I guess is the reason why I get so many compliments and questions about it. I always get asked what I am wearing when I wear the scent alone, but the real trick that usually gets people to ask me questions is when I combine it with the Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie Shea Souffle. Maybe its my body chemistry, but thanks to my cousin I can’t use anything else.
